Colonial Manor (AKA Tuscarawas County Home) was established in 1844. The current building was built in 1929. The County Home was once portrayed as the "poor house." This statement, however, no longer stands true.

You may have a car on the grounds with full room and board paid. A valid Ohio drivers license and proof of vehicle insurance are required.

Those who wish to stay short or long-term must be or have been a resident of Tuscarawas County, be 18 yeras or older, be ambulatory, use the assistance of a cane or walker, and cannot be severely confused or combative.
