The officers are elected and serve a two-year term. The main stipulation is that the president and vice president are elected with one being from a certified home and one from a non-certified home. This way both groups of member homes are represented.
Usually the vice-president succeeds the president for the next term but not always. The secretary and treasurer can be
re-elected indefinitely.
